We know you're busy. We're here to take the stress out of finding care for your pets when you work or travel. Many pets prefer staying in a familiar environment. Their home is less stressful and they can stay in their regular routine. Our team of dog walkers and pet sitters will provide the same quality of care as if you were doing it yourself.
Our dog walking service is popular among working professionals who want their dog to receive some TLC during the day so they are not left alone for extended periods of time. If you have a puppy or a senior dog, we can visit every few hours.
Sometimes boarding is not the best option for your animal. Our pet sitting service is a great alternative and allows your pet to remain in the comfort of their own home. They receive the same consistent care as if you were there. We provide care for dogs, cats, and other small animals.
We believe your pets are an extension of your family. Our goal is to partner with you to ensure your pet receives top quality care at all times and in a manner that best fits your lifestyle and theirs.
Our dog walkers and pet sitters are not independent contractors. This means we fully vet our employees before they come to work for us. All employees must also pass a criminal background check. In addition, they go through training before conducting their first home visit. We keep in touch with them regularly throughout their employment. We seek feedback from customers on how they are doing and we are quick to take action when the service may not be up to your level of satisfaction.
We have a support team of department managers, office managers, and over 80 dog walkers and pet sitters scattered throughout Northern VA and Washington DC. If you have a question, our office is open daily. When your dog walker or pet sitter is sick, on vacation, or has an emergency, we are able to provide consistent care to your pets without interruption by sending another qualified employee who has access to your care instructions and all your regular dog walker or pet sitter’s notes on your pet’s behavior and routine. Our experienced team will work with you to deliver peace of mind.
Do you have a shy dog? Do you have a reactive dog? Not all dogs behave the same while on a walk and some require more attentiveness than others. Dog behavior is incorporated into all our employee training programs. Our team is taught basic handling and dog behavior skills. If your dog walker experiences any problems, we can direct those concerns to our experienced and certified dog training department for further guidance and to develop an approach that works for you and your dog.
Our goal is to build a lifelong relationship with you and your pet. We want to get to know your pet and work with you to provide the service that best matches their needs and yours. We don’t charge extra for last minute reservations, have a straightforward cancellation policy, and will work with you if there is inclement weather. We are unique in that we not only provide in-home pet care services but we also provide dog daycare, boarding, and dog training services. We have many customers that use a combination of services. For example they have their dog walked a few times a week and they bring their dog to daycare a few times a week. We also offer a pet taxi service where we can drive your dog to our daycare and have him home ready to greet you when you get home from work!
This is our most popular service! Taking care of our dogs can be a full-time job. Dogs are social animals and they can become bored when you are at work. They have a lot of energy and need an outlet or a change of scenery to break up their day. Let us help brighten their day with a walk outdoors.

You will be emailed a Registration Packet from our office and should have that completed prior to the time you are scheduled to meet with your dog walker or pet sitter.
During the initial consultation our employee will meet your pets, review the contents of your Registration Packet, and obtain 2 copies of your house keys. Once the initial consultation is complete, you are ready to begin scheduling service.
Standard midday dog walks are 25 minute visits. Puppy/Senior dog walks are 20 minute visits. This includes the amount of time it requires the dog walker to enter the home, leash up the dog, go for a walk, provide fresh water or a treat per your request, return the dog to the location they were found (ie crate, bedroom etc), and leave you a daily journal with details about the visit.
The easier it is to get in and out of your residence is indicative of how much time we will be able to spend during the visit on the actual walk. For apartment complexes, parking and/or conceirge key handling can consume much of this time. Aside from these factors, the general walk time for a standard midday visit is 20 minutes and for puppy/senior visits is 15 minutes.
We conduct midday dog walks between the hours of 9AM and 5PM. Any visit performed outside of this timeframe is considered a pet sit. If you prefer a more specific time, you can request a preferred 2 hour window. We will ensure that our dog walker arrives to your home during that preferred time frame. If circumstances or an emergency prevents the dog walker from arriving to your home during this window, we will notify you, and take appropriate action.
No. We want our team's attention to be focused on your dogs during their visit. We walk dogs individually, unless they are from the same household. We do not offer group pack walks. We do not take dogs to dog parks. Our walks are on leash at all times. If you prefer to have your dog play in an off leash group with other dogs, we recommend our dog daycare service.
Pet sitting visits are a 30 minute visit. This includes the amount of time it requires the pet sitter to enter the home, leash up the dog and go for a walk or clean the litterbox / cage, provide fresh water, feed breakfast or dinner, return your pet to the location they were found (ie crate, bedroom etc), and leave you a daily journal with details about the visit.
We conduct pet sitting visits before 9AM and after 5PM. You can request a preferred 2 hour window. We will ensure that our pet sitter arrives to your home during that preferred time frame. For your pet's safety, we require at least 2 visits daily for dogs and 1 visit daily for cats and other small animals.
Many of our clients live in an apartment complex or on a challenging city street where parking is limited. As a general rule, we do not charge for parking but we assume that there is the ability to park for free. If there is only street parking and the employee must pay to park there, we may add those charges onto your service bill so that our employee can be reimbursed for this additional expense to them. We will evaluate these scenerios on a case by case basis.
If your apartment complex or neighborhood has designated parking for quick access, this would be helpful for our employees to know. Our goal is to optimize time we spend with your pet. The time it takes to find parking and get into your apartment or townhouse can take away from the visit time.
Yes, we offer discounts on dog walking services for customers that want regular service 4-5 days a week. We also offer a discounted pet taxi package for clients that use our pet taxi service to/from dog daycare.
Memberships are per month. If you want dog walks M-F we recommend the VIP plan which is a $2 savings per dog walk. If you want dog walks 4 days a week (16 a month), we recommend the Premier plan which is a $1 savings per dog walk. For clients that have a puppy or older dog, the Puppy/Senior plan includes 2 shorter dog walks per day M-F, which is $15 each or $5 savings per dog walk over our standard midday dog walk.

We are an employee-based company that operates 365 days a year. Holidays are our busiest time. The extra fee we collect is passed on to our employees as bonus incentive for them to work on holidays when they may otherwise have chosen to take time off. The holiday surcharge is non-refundable and must be paid in advance when you book your holiday reservation. This reserves your pet sitter's time in their schedule.
All regularly scheduled weekly dog walking services will automatically be cancelled on holidays. If you are a weekly dog walking client and need a dog walk during the holiday, please call our office to make a reservation.
Reservations are required at all times. Cancellations must be made by close of business the day prior. Our office is open daily 9-5pm, except on holidays. Same day cancellations will be charged full fees.
If we are pet sitting for you and you return home early from your trip, please call the office to cancel the remainder of your visits. You will be charged for any visit for which the sitter arrives to the house without advance notification to cancel the visit.
If you cancel your holiday reservation, please notify us with as much advance notice as possible. We are usually completely booked 1-2 months before the holiday. Payment of the holiday surcharge guarantees we have secured a sitter for your reservation. If you do need to cancel, we will only refund the holiday surcharge if we are notified 10 or more days before your reservation begins. For last minute holiday cancellations, the fees we collected are passed on to the sitter.
Our office is closed on holidays. Click here to see our full holiday schedule.

Yes. If you were provided with great service, the suggested tip is 10% of your total bill. This is a suggestion only and is not required. If you would like to tip your pet sitter, you may include the additional amount in your check for payment and we will pass along the surplus to your sitter with your compliments. You may also mail a separate note to our office and we will ensure your pet sitter receives it.
