These are one-time sessions that are ideal for the student that has one particular behavior they want to focus on and/or gain more knowledge about a specific topic.  These workshops are designed for you to bring your dogs so we may provide hands-on assistance during the exercises.

Dog Games
This interactive workshop is packed with fun and creative games you can play with your dog to strengthen your training relationship. Does your dog like to fetch, chase, tug, doing nose work? We'll talk about how to teach your dog to play games that can be incorporated with obedience cues to practice for solid recalls, stays, leash manners and impulse control. We will cover some versions of old games as well as completely new game ideas that you can incorporate into your training that both you and your dog will enjoy - come prepared to have fun!

Dog Play
This workshop is for the student who wants to learn more about what healthy dog play looks like and how to help your dog develop proper social skills. We will cover the basics on how to interpret body language and other essential factors that play a role such as the amount of space versus dog ratio, age and breed type and how it influences play style, the amount of time your dog should spend in each play session and your role in the play session. We will then apply this knowledge while letting our dogs play!

Leash Manners
This is an intense session where we proof the behavior with duration and distractions. We start at a level that is appropriate for the class average, but we will make sure each individual student is personally challenged and leaves with the knowledge and tools they can use to confidently work on better leash manners.

No Jumping!
It is a joy to have a happy dog, but if that means your dog is jumping on people all the time that can become a real nuisance. We teach you to combine management and training in everyday life and how to make the dog offer a sit whenever approached by a stranger or in the presence of other distractions.

Recalls
In this session we cover all the important principles you need to follow to in order to develop a reliable recall. We practice with a wide range of distractions and show you how to use body language and voice to your ultimate advantage. We teach you to be the one in your dog’s life and how to set up practice sessions in a way that your dog would always consider it in his best interest to come when called.

Targeting
Teaching our dogs targeting skills serves a variety of uses in training. We use it in agility, for improving leash manners, for easy handling without physical manipulation, aid in confidence building, practicing tricks, a distraction technique and more. Come learn how to incorporate these techniques into your training tailored to your specific needs and leave with at least one new trick! We will give a general overview of all the beneficial uses of targeting and then let you decide in what aspect you would like to use it and build on that.

Treibball (pronounced Try-ball)
This new and exciting sport is recommended for anyone that wants to establish a better relationship with their dog. We recommend the class especially for students who have dogs who are highly motion and ball motivated. Wether your dog is old or young, whether you may be serious about competition, or just want to do something fun with your dog, this is a great sport. The workshop will give a short overview of the game and introduce the students to the beginner skills. The focus will be on the early steps of forming the push method using the dog's nose, shoulder or chest to "drive" the ball forward. We will also cover directing the dog to go left, right and around. Depending on time and skill level we may touch on some distance work as well. Tools we will be using in class are balls, target mats, target sticks and clickers. Join in on the fun!
