Training Camp

Training Camp is an alternative to our Private Training Offerings. A member of our Dog Training team will work directly with your dog and at the conclusion of camp, your Dog Trainer will meet with you to transition what they have worked on, for you to continue the process. Training Camp is the perfect solution when:

  • You do not have time to train your dog.
  • You want to speed up the learning process. A skilled trainer can work faster and get more repetitions in a shorter amount of time, ultimately strengthening the behavior.
  • You want to focus on specific target behaviors of your choice.

The Dog Trainer will leave a report card with notes on what they worked on that day and what progress they are making. At the conclusion of your camp, the trainer will schedule a 30 minute follow-up to review progress and transition the behaviors learned to you so you can resume training where the trainer left off.  This final session will take place via phone or online through Google Meet.

The focus of our training camps is to have intensive sessions with your dog and transition the behaviors we taught your dog over to you, so that you can continue to build on them at home during your every day life. A trainer will proof the behaviors for added reliability, but long term success requires continuous practice and reinforcement.

Camp @ Home

At each session, the dog trainer will arrive at your home to retrieve your dog.  If you or your family is home, please conduct the handoff at your front door with all parties wearing masks. The dog trainer will work with your dog in your yard and then bring your dog back inside.  Camp will run for 5 consecutive days. The trainer will contact you to schedule a start date.

Camp @ Daycare

You can drop your dog off at daycare for a half day or full day of play. A member of our dog training team will retrieve your dog from daycare to work individually with them for 30 minutes.

  • Camp will run for 5 days over the course of 2 weeks. The first week, camp will operate Monday, Wednesday, Friday and conclude the second week on Tuesday and Thursday. This allows the dog a break between sessions and to help mitigate any fatigue or stressors from attending daycare consecutively which could negatively impact the learning process.
  • Please arrive by 9AM, camp will take place between the hours of 9AM-12PM. This allows you to pair camp with a half day or full day of daycare. Camp is limited to 4 dogs per session.
  • Daycare cost is not included in the camp price. You will need to schedule half day or full day of daycare on the days your dog will be attending camp.
  • If your dog does not already attend our daycare, we must first schedule a dog evaluation. If your dog passes the daycare evaluation, they will then be required to complete an observation day. Because the daycare evaluation process is only for a limited time and can also be stressful for the dog, the observation day should be scheduled for a different day. Consider the evaluation as an orientation and the observation day as the first day of school. We will get a better read on how your dog will do in daycare on their observation day. The observation day must occur before your camp begins.
  • Another added bonus is that if your dog attends our daycare, you can have our daycare team continue to reinforce the behaviors your dog already knows. Just sign up for the Manners Practice sessions next time your dog attends daycare and a daycare team member will practice good manners with your dog in 15 minute sessions.
