Employee Benefits

One of the best things about working for a pet company is the ability to interact with pets as a part of your job. We also offer some pretty great benefits.

Field Employees (Dog Walkers, Pet Sitters, Seasonal Help)

These positions are typically part-time.

  • 15% Discount on retail purchases at Fur-Get Me Not.
  • Free use of the Dog Wash for standard 30 minute washes.
  • 10% off Dog Training classes and private training.
  • 40% off base pet-sitting rates (Note: there are no discounts for regular dog walking services or the holiday premium that is charged for Pet Sitting visits conducted during Holidays / Holiday Weekends. We offer pet sitting discounts for when employees travel).
  • Half-Day Daycare rates for a full day of dog daycare (Note: all employee dogs are subject to passing the same evaluation as clients prior to being allowed in daycare or boarding as well as the same capacity restrictions/availability as clients).
  • 10% off basic boarding packages (Note: does not include spa treatments or add-ons).
  • May observe Dog Training classes without their dogs, for the purpose of furthering their own understanding of dog learning theory. Must provide advance notice for attendance.
  • Cash bonuses provided for employee referrals, provided the referral is hired and actively works for a period of 30+ days.

Dog Trainers

These positions are typically part-time. Trainers receive the same benefits as field employees in addition to attending dog training classes with their dog for free.

On-site Employees (Daycare Attendants, Managers, Office & Admin)

These positions can be either part-time or full-time. On-site employees receive the same benefits as part-time dog walkers and pet sitters in addition to:

  • Free use of Daycare while employee has a scheduled shift, provided the dog has passed the evaluation process and there is room in the daycare for that day.
  • Free Dog Training group classes with their own dog, provided there is room.
  • Full-Time employees receive free boarding provided there is room. Does not apply to add-ons or holiday surcharges.

401K with Employer Match

All Fur-Get Me Not employees are eligible to enroll in our 401k program on their 1 year anniversary of service provided they are of 21 years of age or older and have worked an average of 20 hours per week, or, 1000 service hours within a consecutive 12-month period.

Fur-Get Me Not will match 100% of employee contributions up to 3% of salary per-paycheck, and 50% of percents 4 and 5. Enrolled employees are immediately vested, and are able to roll forward their plans upon the end of their tenure with Fur-Get Me Not.

Health Insurance

All employees consistently scheduled to work 30+ hours per week are eligible to participate in the Fur-Get Me Not group health insurance plan after 60 days of employment. Fur-Get Me Not pays 50% of the employee premium, employee portion of premiums will be deducted pre-tax from each paycheck.

Paid Time Off

All regular full-time (40 hours per week) Fur-Get Me Not employees are eligible for paid time off, as well as paid holidays.

Paid time off provided is dependent on current tenure with Fur-Get Me Not, as follows:

  • 1-2 years of service: 10 days per calendar year
  • 3+ years of service: 15 days per calendar year.

Fur-Get Me Not recognizes the following Federal holidays:

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • President’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Juneteenth
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Columbus Day
  • Thanksgiving Day & the day after
  • Christmas Day & Christmas Eve (depending on the day of week it falls)
  • New Year’s Day
