On Demand Training
On Demand Training is an alternative to Private Training. A member of our Dog Training team will work directly with your dog. This type of training is the perfect solution when:
- You do not have time to train your dog.
- You want to speed up the learning process. A skilled trainer can work faster and get more repetitions in a shorter amount of time, ultimately strengthening the behavior.
- You want more reliable behaviors. A trainer will reinforce and proof the behaviors for reliability, however long term success requires continuous practice and reinforcement.
- You want to focus on specific target behaviors of your choice.
The Dog Trainer will leave a progress card with notes outlining what they worked on that day. Occasionally, the dog trainer may identify other areas that the training sessions should be focused on that may yield better results with the "problem behaviors" you are facing.
Sessions can be purchased as a 5 or 10 session package. At the conclusion of the package, the trainer will schedule a 30-minute follow-up to review progress and transition the behaviors learned to you, so that you can continue to build on them at home in your day-to-day life. This final session will take place in person at the facility or at home if you registered for at home training.
Behavior Options
On your registration form, you can prioritize the top 3 behaviors you would like us to work on during the sessions. Some common examples of behaviors are grouped below by themes:
- Manners - attention, name recognition, sit, down, touch, polite greetings, and recalls
- Impulses - go to place, drop it, stay, wait, leave it, polite greetings, and harnessing
- Leash Manners - name recognition, focused attention while on leash, touch, leash handling and reactivity
- Confidence Building - crating, sensitive to collar or harness, handling paws, sensitivity to touch on areas of the body. We will focus on desensitization exercises by conditioning your dog to make positive associations with these interactions.
- Recalls - excellent for on demand training - great for reinforcing name and attention to help in daycare, off leash at dog park or backyard
- Handling - nail trims, harnesses, crating, head shyness, nips when touched
- Fun Tricks - teach new tricks like spin, crawl, catch, bow, middle, leg weaves, back up
- Game Skills - how to politely play with you (or kids) when playing games like fetch, drop it, tug, take it, recalls, catch, or soccer
- Puppy - crate, body handling, positive associations for added socialization
- Daycare Prep Skills - skills that will help your dog in a daycare environment such as name association, recalls, walking in and out of groups and lobby and out back, body handling for collar, harness, leash up, and nail trims, baths leash walking, wait at gates, crate tolerance
To Register
Determine if you would like us to conduct these at your home or at our facility. Complete the online registration form and payment. The training department will reach out to you to connect you with your trainer if sessions are being conducted at home. If sessions are being conducted at daycare, please schedule daycare or boarding services separately.
What's Included - On Demand Training @ Daycare
- Behaviors: you specify
- Individual 30-minute training sessions between dog and trainer. The trainer will retrieve your dog and take them over to our training building to conduct the sessions.
- Daily progress card
- Sold in packs of 5 or 10 sessions. When you purchase a package there is a 30-minute in person session with your trainer at the conclusion of training to review your dog's progress.
- Single sessions are available only if you have previously registered for a package.
- Sessions are conducted M-F from 12pm-3pm. We do not offer this service on weekends or holidays when our facility is closed.
- Daycare cost is not included in the training price. You will need to schedule daycare or boarding separately with our office team and identify the days you would like us to conduct the sessions.
- **IMPORTANT** If your dog does not already attend our daycare, you must first schedule a dog evaluation. If your dog passes the daycare evaluation, your dog will need to attend an observation day. Because the daycare evaluation process is only for a limited time and can also be stressful for the dog, the observation day should be scheduled for a different day. Consider the evaluation as an orientation and the observation day as the first day of school. We will get a better read on how your dog will do in daycare on their observation day. The observation day must occur before on demand training begins.

- You do not need to be home but we will need access. The trainer will contact you to schedule a start date. When the dog trainer arrives at your home, they will retrieve your dog and work with your dog in the home or outside.
